It's not just because Abigail Breslin is really really ugly (which she is)!
The Following is a true story:
So Last year in the middle of May, my mom found this audition on the internet. It was to play along side Abigail Breslin in the upcoming moving Kit Kittredge. So I ended school an hour early and my mom picked me up and we drove to NYC. So my last name starts with D and the people at the American Girl Place said that they had already taken people with last names a-j and and she said that I had to wait, but if I came back at like 11 that night that they "might" be able to see me. But my mom wanted to just walk around the store so insstead of going to the left to the store we went to the right and saw some people who were watching an American Girl movie on a really small TV. So I joined them and then my mom asked, "Are you guys on line for the auditions?" and they said yes. It turned out that their last names started with like A and C. So we just waited on line and I auditioned. Then when we were driving home my mom got a call saying that I had a callback and I had to go in and audition again at 9 AM the next morning. 1200 girls tried out and only 200 were called back. SO I auditioned again and we were in groups of 20 and then we sat in these chairs and waited to here if we would get to the final callback. So she said four names. I was one of them. So I went there that night and auditioned again. 1200 girls tried out and I was in the top 20. So yeah I made it to the last callback and everytime I auditioned for Ruthie. The Ruthie in the movie was small holywood person who was already in movies or something. I don't get it because when I auditioned the casting director was smiling and nodding and it seemed like everybody else screwed up their lines. I think it's because they had to hire ugly people because they couldn't have someone outshine Abigail Breslin. (jk)
So that's the reason I hate that movie (even though I have never seen it)

What did you have to do in the audition?
Ahhh... I always hated tha movie, the first time I saw it. Abigail whatever is ugly in real life, without the short blonde hair. ^^ You are so lucky. It's like talking to a movie star when I comment here!!

...Who's Alley Carter? o.O?
...Oh. So that's who. (hahaha, DUH!)
thats cool. I wish my mom would let me audition for movies :( I had one of the lead roles in the school play, and I had a solo! I figure I could do pretty good... but nooo my mom doesn't want me to go into acting so young. w/e
That's cool. In middle school we don't have school plays but last year r play in 4th grade was Annie. I was Annie. I got to sing the Sun Will come out Tomorrow to this girl (Molly) who was a complete and utter be-otch. I also sang Maybe and all the group songs but those were my solos and I had a couple of solos in I think I'm gonna like It Here .
